Searching

How do I search for a car?

Use the search at the top of the home page or above any car. Choose a make, and if you like a model, generation and years, then press “Show vehicles” — the button tells you how many cars match.

Can I search by VIN?

Yes. Type the VIN into the “Search by VIN” box and press Enter. You can enter the full VIN or just part of it, such as the last 6 characters.

What is a VIN and where do I find it?

The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character code. It’s shown on every car page, and on the car itself — usually at the bottom of the windscreen or on the driver’s door frame. Cars made before 1981 may have shorter VINs.

Car details

What do Available, Reserved and Sold mean?

Available cars are for sale. Reserved cars are being bought by someone else and may become available again. Sold cars can’t be bought.

What do “Run and Drive”, “Starts” and “Stationary” mean?

They describe whether the car runs. Run and Drive: the engine starts and the car moves. Starts: the engine starts. Stationary: the car doesn’t start or move.

What are ACV and ERC?

ACV (actual cash value) is the estimated value of the car before damage. ERC (estimated repair cost) is what repairs are expected to cost.

What does the verified badge mean?

A verified badge next to the seller or the sale document means our team has checked it.

Buying

How do I buy a car?

Open the car’s page and press “Buy Now”. We’ll contact you to confirm the details and arrange payment and handover.

Can I ask a question about a car first?

Yes. Press “Ask a question” on the car’s page, or use our contact form. Include the VIN so we know which car you mean.

Account and site

Do I need an account?

No. You can browse and search all cars without one. An account lets you keep a Watchlist of cars you like.

Which languages is the site available in?

English, German, Russian, Ukrainian and Chinese. Choose your language in the menu at the top of the page or at the bottom of any page.
